| Set on a cliff overlooking the sparkling North Sea, Corton is a traditional coastal chalet resort. Its compact site is prettily landscaped and is a riot of colour in spring and summer. Among Corton's many unusal claims to fame is its link to mustard! Towards the end of the 19th century, the head of the Colman family acquired the estate, turing the already beautiful setting into one of the loveliest gardens on the east coast. Corton couldn't be better placed for you to enjoy the very best of Suffolk: both coastal and inland. |

| The beautiful south of England with the historic city of Winchester, New Forest and Salisbury with its impressive cathedral, come together to feature in this delightful weekend break. A season when the woodlands can look at their colourful best and there is still warmth in the autumn sun. A time of ‘mists and mellow fruitfulness’ and we make the most of it in one of England’s most picturesque regions. We arrive via Romsey, southern gateway to the beautiful Test Valley, and then on to our hotel. We spend some free time in Winchester and include an excursion to Salisbury, with its fine 13th century Cathedral. We take a guided excursion into the enchanting New Forest, one of England’s ancient woodlands. Before returning home we visit Hillier Gardens, which are well known in autumn for their striking golds and reds and will provide the ‘icing on the cake’ of this colour autumn break. |
